Surname Saturday: DUNNING

Sarah Jane DUNNING was my third great grandmother. She was the daughter of Michael DUNNING and Susan Turner. She married George W SANDERS on 30 September 1864 in Switzerland county, Indiana. She died 14 March 1926 and was buried in Bovard Cemetery in Cotton township, Switzerland county, Indiana.

Michael DUNNING was born 1 Sep 1790 and died 19 Aug 1848. He first lived in New York and then moved to Switzerland county. He was buried in New Liberty Cemetery in Cotton township, Switzerland county.

Michael DUNNING was first married to Eleanor Harriet TERWILLIGER. Their children were:

Mortimer Eugene DUNNING (14 May 1817-25 Mar 1875) married Frances Rebecca WOODRUFF.

Michael married Susanna TURNER on 27 Aug 1829 in Switzerland county, Indiana after the death of Eleanor. Their children were:
